Here are the things to keep in mind about the copy down from PRD to SUP that happens each night:
- Order transmittal maps (LOM records) are cleared out. The records still exist in SUP but will be blank.
- Workstations (LWS records) are marked as down (I LWS 200 = Yes).
- Interface filers are stopped, and new messages will not be processed.
- Queues are cleared. They will restart in SUP, but not necessarily with all the same processes. If an issue might deal with a nightly process that would still be running around the time of copy-down, not all the data may be in SUP.
- The minimum number of daemons on queues is set to 1. This is part of the reason why reports will run more slowly in SUP.
- Email addresses and fax numbers will be cleared out from SER records.
There are other tasks that occur during the copy-down that happen as well, but these are the ones that most impact Orders.
